Defects-per-unit control chart for assembled products based on defect prediction models

چکیده

Abstract Typically, monitoring quality characteristics of very personalized products is a difficult task due to the lack experimental data. This typical case processes where production volume continues shrink growing complexity and customization products, thus requiring low-volume productions. paper presents novel approach statistically monitor defects-per-unit (DPU) assembled based on use defect prediction models. The innovative aspect such DPU-chart that, unlike conventional SPC charts preliminary data estimate control limits (phase I), it constructed using predictive model priori knowledge DPU. structural product. By avoiding phase I, may be interest researchers practitioners speed up chart’s construction phase, especially in description method supported by real industrial study electromechanical field.
